A discreet name is a neutral alias, such as "Evening set no. 4", shown instead of the product title while privacy mode is on. It appears on product cards, the product page, search, recommendations and the cart.
- Create the Discreet name metafield (
custom.discreet_name). See Set up product metafields. - Fill it in for the products you want to cover.
- Make sure Theme settings → Privacy → Use discreet product names in privacy mode is on.
Note
Discreet names only change what is shown on screen. Order confirmations, invoices and your admin always use the real product title. To keep the bank statement neutral, set your billing descriptor in your payment provider's settings.
